FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT

The GeoSpatial Data Systems Laboratory is located at 423 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, Utah - in the University of Utah Research Park. This modern facility includes a large open area for production work and office space for the scientists and management.

The open work area has a number of Sun and PC work stations, several of which are connected to digitizing tablets. The GeoSpatial Data Systems Laboratory maintains Arc/Info, ArcView, ERDAS Imagine, and ENVI software for use in GIS development and image processing. A UNIX based Oracle server is also housed within The Geomatics Lab.

Other equipment available through The GeoSpatial Data Systems Lab for project use includes a large format HP 755CM color plotter, a small format dye sublimation color printer, a CD writer, a PIMA II spectrometer, a GER 2100 spectroradiometer, and a Trimble GPS system.
