The Dixie Valley, Nevada, DVa transect data contains 12 spectra (DVa1-DVa12) taken from Sarcobatus baileyi (Baily's greasewood) using a GER 2100 spectroradiometer with a 10 nm sampling interval. The data were taken during the first week of June, 1997 using quartz-halogen lights for illumination. The sample stations are 0.1 miles apart. To increase the leaf area taken in each spectrum, a number of leafy stems were pruned from each shrub and arranged in a dense bunch prior to spectrum acquisition. Some stems and holes (shadow) were unavoidable. The data are contained in individual ASCII text files which have been zipped. Use PKUNZIP or Winzip to extract.
