Welcome to GeoSpatial Data Systems (GSDS)

For a bit of an introduction, GSDS is the remote sensing, GIS, GPS, and digital mapping arm of the Energy & Geoscience Institute at the University of Utah (EGI). We provide support for EGI and Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering scientists and engineers and actively participate in applied and basic research using the above technologies.

Our primary foci are geothermal and petroleum research, however urban ecosystem research is emerging as another important focus. We also house many geospatial data sets generated by research projects sponsored by the Geothermal Energy Program, U. S. Department of Energy. Feel free to download and use these and other data located within.
